The roaring twenties.

If I love a time in the future, it  is surely the twenties.
Even this year are there influences from that time on the runway to see. Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Alberta Feretti and Christian Dior was a coming and going of sequins, hats and feathers.

The Roaring Twenties was a time between 2 world wars. Women did man work during the first world war, and were treated to more equitably with more rights.
They were much spicier, sported, drove car and smoked cigarettes (with those lovely cigarette holders!).
Also in the fashion changed the image, the skirts were shorter, the hair went off and they said good bye  against corsets. These woman where called flapper girls.

There were flowing silk dresses, beautiful and glamourous made piletten, feathers, Art Deco influences and all kinds of hats. Thanks to well known designers like Madeleine Vionnet, Elsa Schiaparelli and Coco Chanel, of course (my favorite) came jersy fabrics, pearls and the corsets went away.

Also in the make up came a change, red lips, eye shadow and thin eyebrows came in!
Would you make this look?  This one is from Dior 2010.

Hope you enjoy this look just like me! Lots of love, Roos
