Porto Baby

Hello guys! How have you been? Loved your  free days?
Im just returned from one of the best hollidays ever in... Porto. Most of people will think why Porto? Well I can explain you that, and afterwards I will give you my best tips if you want to experience it yourself.

Porto is a very old historic city, wich is pretty but also a little bit dark sometimes. It’s cleen, the people are friendly. JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter here and we completely understood that. The students are dressed in black, included black capes. The buildings are very old, and by evening you saw birds circling above the churches and it has a magical feeling. You can achieve the city good because it has her own airport. It’s next to the see and across Porto is the river Douro. We descovered trendy bars, in the whole city. And by the way, Porto is super cheap! For a very nice meal, included wine you pay like €10,- !! And you can eat here so loveley, I felt like eat pray love sometimes!

Discover Porto
Do the tour by wildwalkers. They have a facebook page. Ask for Ana because she is so enthousiastic and she tells the things on a very nice way. She shows you parts of Porto where you otherwise never would have been. Aftewards you can decide how much you think that the tour is worth it. So if you didn’t liked it, you don’t pay, and if you like it you pay a little more.

Miss Opo. This is a typical I-didn’t-expected-it-soooo-good kind of restaurant. It is a little hidden in the city. At the outside you don’t see that much. It looks like a small building but inside it’s super big and there is a very special atmosphere. The food is delicious! They change the menu every day, and it has a very sophesticated taste. The tapas was here the best!

Go out
Plano B was one of the best nights of my life. Under the ground is a very big club, with different styles of music. There is a very nice atmosphere and the time flew away when we where there. It was eleven o’Clock and before we knew it it was like seven in the morning. Good sign, isn’t it?

You have to  look very good but then you will find this extraordianary park with a beautiful view on Porto. It’s on the end of Rua Cândido dos Reis (next to Plano B) . We asked the way on one of the locals and he asked us how we knew about that one because it is so unknown!! Oke first you have a beautuful garden with roses, and then you walk down on all the terrasses and you will find people relaxing and making music. It was so peacefull there!

Porto is so famous because of the... Port! We did a tour at Taylors. All the Port places where owned by the British, that’s why they still have English names. We got for only €5,- a walking tour, and three different glasses of Port. And gosh, that stuff is so tastey!  Your really should try it once in your life!!

I really hope that you will also discover this amazing place one day. And if you have ever been there, please let me know what you think of the city!

Lots of love,
